Chapter 12: Adoption

1. All those that are justified, God vouchsafed, in and for the sake of his only Son Jesus Christ, to make partakers of the grace 1of adoption; by which they are taken into the number, and enjoy the liberties and 2privileges of children of God; have his 3name put upon them, 4receive the spirit of adoption, 5have access to the throne of grace with boldness, are enabled to cry Abba, Father, are 6pitied, 7protected, 8provided for, and 9chastened by him, as by a Father; yet never 10cast off; but sealed 11to the day of redemption and inherit the promises 12as heirs of everlasting salvation.
