Written Debate Challenge – Epistemologically Charged Truths for Theologically Inclined Youths

On Oct 5th, 2023 Epistemologically Charged Truths for Theologically Inclined Youths was publicly challenged to a discussion surrounding dispensationalism. It was asked for one of the page owners (Josiah) to bring forth his best arguments against dispensationalism in a written format for discussion.

So, again, here we have it. Covenantalist’s demonstrate that they are all talk, and no walk. We can’t have serious conversations with them. We set the stage in an attempt to engage in fruitful dialogue and they not us are unwilling. This is why the conversation will not move forward. Dispensationalism cannot be responded to through strawman fallacies (as we see above), emotional rants, and vitriol. It must be done by (a) studying the primary sources, (b) engaging with the best sources, (c) engaging in an exegetical discussion surrounding texts that make up the theology. Josiah cannot do this, which is why he won’t engage in a thoughtful or meaningful discussion. This has been my experience for over a decade with CT’s. What a shame.

    1. The only one that I can remember engaging more specifically with Josiah was back in June, something like June 21st where he basically said that Postmill and Amills were protecting us against eschatological defeatism, to which I provided an article. I have no idea what specific dialogue he is referencing, but as you know I never engage in ad hom with anyone.

        This is the third or the fourth time I’ve heard Dispensationalism described as eschatological defeatism which could not be further from the truth. What article did you provide?
